Beinn Mheadhonach Wind Farm

Welcome

Welcome to our project and consultation website for Beinn Mheadhonach Wind Farm.

Wind Harvest Limited, a Highland-based developer of wind energy projects, intends to submit a planning application to construct and operate a five turbine wind farm at Beinn Mheadhonach, near Struan on the Isle of Skye.

If consented, operation would begin in 2026 once wider electricity network upgrades are completed. The wind farm would be rated at 21MW and is expected to produce about 80GWh of carbon-free electricity each year over its 25 year life.  The wind farm will provide clean, renewable energy and help meet the Highlands and Scotland’s net zero ambitions.
